Dragon for Windows
What is Dragon?
Dragon is the Network Attached Storage (NAS) unit that is part of the Wesleyan domain. All students have a Wesleyan domain account which gives you access to 50Mb of storage on this device. This can be a useful place to store files for printing in the labs, or for accessing them from other computers. Your username should be "wesleyan\yourUserName and your password is the same as your e-mail password.
Mapping the H: Drive (Home Directory)
- Open Windows Explorer (in the Start -> Programs Menu) or My Computer (on the desktop).
- From the Tools menu, select Map Network Drive.
- Select H: from the Drive drop-down box (Note: If your H: drive is already used by a hardware device in your computer, another available drive letter can be chosen).
- In the Folder field, type
\\dragon\classyearhome\usernamewhereclassyearis the letter 's' followed by your 2-digit class year (i.e.s07). - Make sure the Reconnect at Logon box is checked.
- Click Finish.
- When the Logon window appears type
wesleyan\usernamein the Username field. Your password is synchronized with your e-mail password and can be changed through your electronic portfolio.
If you have the Microsoft version of the Novell Client for Windows installed on your computer you will no longer need it and can un-install it at any time. If you use the actual Novell version of the client software, do not try to uninstall it unless you are running Windows XP. Unpredictable results can occur when trying to uninstall it from other versions of Windows.
